Bookee Privacy Policy

Bookee is a family expense tracking app. Our principles are simple: we only collect data needed for bookkeeping, we never sell your data, and we do no ad tracking.
What we collect
- Account info: email address and display name. Passwords are stored as salted hashes (scrypt); we cannot see them.
- Bookkeeping data: transactions, amounts, categories, notes, budgets, recurring bills, and the list of family people (beneficiaries) recorded by you and your family members.
- Receipt photos and recognized text: receipt photos you capture or pick and choose to save, plus text recognized from them.
Camera and photos
The camera is used only to capture shopping receipts. Text recognition (OCR) runs on your device; photos are uploaded to our server only when you choose to save them or use AI recognition.
How information is used
- To provide bookkeeping, shared family ledgers, reports, and budgets.
- AI receipt recognition: when you use AI recognition, the receipt photo is sent to our server and then to a third-party AI provider to extract the merchant, amount, and items. We only use providers whose API terms explicitly commit to not training models on customer data. The provider currently in use is listed under “Third-party services” below.
- Currency conversion uses a third-party exchange-rate service; those requests contain no personal data.
- AI monthly summaries are generated from your family's aggregated monthly figures (no photos), processed by the same AI provider.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information or share any data with advertisers. Apart from the providers listed under “Third-party services” below, your data is not shared with third parties unless required by law.
Third-party services
We call the following services only to deliver specific features. If we change providers, we update this section and the date at the top of this page.
- AI recognition and monthly summaries: Google (Gemini API). Called only when you actively use an AI feature; under its API terms, the data is not used to train models.
- Exchange rates: a third-party rate service. Requests contain only currency codes, no personal data.
Family sharing
Bookee is a shared family ledger: members of the same family can see each other's transactions, receipts, and statistics. Only share a family with people you trust.
Storage and security
Data is stored on servers located in Singapore (AWS), and all transfers are encrypted via HTTPS.
Retention and deletion
- You can delete your account anytime in the app: Settings → Delete Account.
- For families where you are the only member, all data (transactions, receipts, photos) is deleted immediately.
- For families shared with others, the shared ledger remains for the other members, but your personal information (email, name) is permanently erased.
- You may also contact us at the email below for data deletion requests.
Children's privacy
Bookee is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect children's personal information.

Bookee 是一款家庭记账应用。我们的原则很简单:只收集记账功能必需的数据,不出售你的数据,不做广告追踪。
我们收集哪些信息
- 账号信息:邮箱地址、昵称。密码经加盐哈希(scrypt)存储,我们无法看到明文。
- 记账数据:你和家庭成员记录的交易、金额、分类、备注、预算、定期账单,以及家庭人物(受益人)名单。
- 小票照片与识别文本:你拍摄或从相册选择并保存的小票照片,以及从中识别出的文字。
相机与照片如何使用
相机仅用于拍摄购物小票。拍摄后,文字识别(OCR)在你的设备本地完成;只有当你选择保存或使用 AI 识别时,照片才会上传到我们的服务器。
信息如何使用
- 提供记账、家庭共享账本、报表和预算功能。
- AI 小票识别:当你使用 AI 识别时,小票照片会发送到我们的服务器,再交由第三方 AI 服务商解析出商家、金额和物品。我们只选用在其 API 条款中明确承诺「不将客户数据用于训练模型」的服务商。当前使用的服务商见下方「第三方服务」。
- 汇率折算:外币折算使用第三方汇率服务,该请求不包含任何个人数据。
- AI 月度小结:根据你家庭的月度汇总数据(不含照片)生成消费小结,同样交由上述 AI 服务商处理。
信息共享
我们不出售你的个人信息,不与广告商共享任何数据。除下方「第三方服务」中列出的服务商外,你的数据不会提供给任何第三方,除非法律要求。
第三方服务
我们只在实现具体功能时调用下列服务。更换服务商时会同步更新本节与页首的更新日期。
- AI 识别与月度小结:Google(Gemini API)。仅在你主动使用 AI 功能时调用;按其 API 条款,数据不用于训练模型。
- 汇率数据:第三方汇率服务。请求只包含币种代码,不含任何个人数据。
家庭共享
Bookee 是家庭共享账本:同一家庭的成员可以看到彼此记录的账目、小票和统计。请只与你信任的家人共享家庭。
存储与安全
数据存储在位于新加坡的服务器(AWS)上,所有传输均通过 HTTPS 加密。
数据保留与删除
- 你可以随时在 App 内「设置 → 注销账号」删除账号。
- 只有你一个人的家庭,其全部数据(账目、小票、照片)会被立即删除。
- 与家人共用的家庭,共同账本会保留给其他成员,但你的邮箱、昵称等个人信息会被永久抹除。
- 也可以通过下方邮箱联系我们处理数据删除请求。
儿童隐私
Bookee 不面向 13 岁以下儿童,我们不会有意收集儿童的个人信息。
政策更新
本政策如有重大变更,我们会在 App 内或本页面提示。
